A safety net is a protective net set up under or on the side of a high altitude construction equipment installation or technical performance in case of an accident caused by a person or object falling. The safety net is composed of the net body, the Bing, the tether and the rib rope. The mesh is made of wire rope and has a rhombic or square mesh. Mesh size refers to the distance between two knots. The mesh line around the edge of the net body is called the edge rope. The size of the safety net (nominal size) is determined by the size of the Bing, and the rope that holds the safety net on the support is called the tether. In addition, any rope used to increase the strength of the safety net is collectively called a rib rope.
